Welcome to Assegai Rest

The small farm is situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain range, in the Klaasvoogds West valley. Located 2 hours drive from Cape Town, close to the town of Robertson on Route 62. With the Wine Valley as it's backdrop, this small farm is perfectly positioned to feel "away from it all", but close enough to enjoy wine estates, great restaurants, olive & lavender farms and so much more...

Assegai Rest offers self-catering accommodation including a farmhouse sleeping 8 ; a cottage sleeping 2 ; glamping stay at Lancewood TiPi's sleeping 18. Family & Pet Friendly farmstay.

Assegai House is named after the Assegai Tree (Curtisia Dentata), and Lancewood TiPi is the common name i.e. the Cape Lancewood tree. Our new space, Olea Cottage, was name after the Wild Olive tree (Olea Europea) that is growing in the middle of the deck. As you can tell, we Love Trees!

The farm is owned and managed by Jackie and Andre and we look forward to sharing our space and creativity with you.

Glamping at Noy Noy TiPi

Absolutely blissful experience! We stayed at NoyNoy for our 12 year anniversary and the experience was amazing. Hosts are super-friendly and helpful and the stay was breathtaking. Wonderfully clean, and catered to all our needs for a restful weekend away, glamping with our furbaby. Beautiful hikes with extraordinary views and a serenity uncomparable. Budget Getaways - Top Rated Getaway

We had an absolute ball at the TiPi Lodge. A huge thank you to Andre and Jackie for their hospitality. What a wonderful surprise to find everything so functional, neat and clean. The setting is just amazing and we definitely relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. A very special time for our family to come together and just 'be' in the most natural, peaceful and beautiful setting. We will definitely be visiting Lancewood TiPi Lodge again in the very near future. A truly wonderful holiday, to say the least.

Family Weekend

What an awesome weekend breakaway. The place - oh wow what an experience! First time staying in a tipi with an indoor fire pit. All huddled inside at night and the days were perfect 31deg - some food family quality time. Braaied marshmallows, roaring camp fires, soccer and kids exploring.

Olea Cottage

We had the privilege to stay at the new Olea cottage early in January and we just fell in love with this place. It is cleverly built with breath-taking views of the mountains from the very spacious deck that offers protection against the elements. It was raining when we were there and we made good use of the Kol-Kol hot tub that is on the lower deck, also with beautiful views. The peace and quiet of this cottage is just what you need for total relaxation and resetting your mind, body and soul.

We cannot wait to be back.

Thank you so much for an amazingly quiet, restful and wonderful few days at Assegai House. Our family loved the garden, hammocks, the pool and the mountain hike with our sweet Samson.
This is the first time we've taken our dog on holiday, and safe to say he is living his best life out on the farm. We will be sure to come back.

Out of this world experience

Magical!

We had a wonderful experience. We saw a buck that spent quite a lot of time at our camp, and a delightful bird that came to admire itself in the bathroom mirror.

Stunning Honeymoon Destination

We had the pleasure of staying at Olea Cottage for 2 nights and then moved to the Noy Noy TiPi for 2 nights. We stayed as part of our Honeymoon. Jackie and Andre made the stay a magical stay with amazing memories that will last a lifetime. The views are utterly breathtaking. Being completely surrounded by nature is absolutely needed to restore the soul. Thank you so much to both of you for making our stay absolutely brilliant. We can't wait to come back.

Noteworthy details : The attention to detail is perfect, we felt completely safe. Being able to shower outdoors with nature was an awesome bonus.
